"Kyoto - Uji Matcha" is available exclusively at our physical store in Kyoto. What was important to us about this matcha chocolate bar was that you could directly experience the flavor of matcha in all aspects: color, taste, and aroma. The flavor of Uji matcha spreads the moment you open the washi paper wrapper and put it in your mouth.

Specially selected matcha is at the heart of the flavor.
The matcha at the heart of the flavor is IPPUKU&MATCHA's Uji matcha. A blend of matcha harvested in Uji, Kyoto, it is characterized by its refreshing aroma and crisp flavor.

We arrived at the golden ratio.
We tried combining it with Indonesian milk chocolate, which has a tea leaf flavor similar to Earl Grey, but the two flavors clashed, and the matcha ended up looking dark and dull.
We found a solution to this color problem: white chocolate from Ghana. By adding white chocolate, we were able to bring out the matcha's natural beautiful green color. By adding Palo Blanco milk chocolate and matcha, the overall balance was improved, resulting in a piece that we were satisfied with.
